Over the last year, the Office of the Jersey Charity Commissioner has worked closely with the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) to meet and engage with registered Jersey Charities that make disbursals or carry-on charitable activities overseas. These meetings are designed to assist those charities to understand their obligations arising from amendments to Jersey’s legal framework regarding Non-Profit Organisations that came into force on 1 January 2023.

The Jersey Financial Services Commission, working with the Office of the Jersey Charity Commissioner and the Government of Jersey held a number of drop-in sessions for organisation that had further questions. The sessions were held at the Jersey Library between 12 to 2pm every Tuesday from 21 February 2023 to 14 March 2023, on the first floor in the Godfray Room.
